Can my church partner with Cleveland Hope?
Perhaps the better question is “Should my church join Cleveland Hope?” When joining anything, it needs to be a good fit. Here are some primary considerations:
Doctrine - We’re not the only “Bible people” out there, but we hold unashamedly to historic Baptist convictions. While Cleveland Hope churches can and probably should craft their own statements of faith, The Baptist Faith and Message is a summary of beliefs broadly held by Southern Baptists and serves as Cleveland Hope’s theological baseline. If your church cannot subscribe heartily to these tenets OR differs substantively on a particular point, Cleveland Hope is likely not a good fit.
Dollars - It’s not all about money. Doctrine comes first for a reason! But as stewards of the Great Commission, we know there is tremendous value in collectively channeling financial resources for shared kingdom ends. Each Cleveland Hope church is fully autonomous and determines its own level of financial support for the association. Different churches have different capacities, and EVERY church’s support is valuable and appreciated!
Dedication - Local Baptist associations have been around longer than state or national Baptist conventions and showcase the belief that gospel churches connected by geography can do more for the kingdom together than they can apart. Join intending to get involved! From pastoral fellowship, to leadership training, to missions partnerships local and global, Cleveland Hope churches are dedicated to a cause and calling bigger than any one congregation can fulfill alone!
